LeBain Presents Manik + Cameo Culture at The Standard [NYC]: July 6, 2012

LeBain at the Standard Hotel has been home to a countless number of quality events. The Standard is a place for those considered to be apart of the older more classy generation. Holding sister hotels in Miami, Downtown L.A and Hollywood, it is very clear the Standard is an A-lister paradise. The LeBain rooftop has played host to a number of parties with a deeper sound. Tonight they continue with that movement as they will feature two talented DJ/producers. First on the bill is Cameo Culture. For those of you that attended the Verboten event last weekend, this name should most certainly ring a bell. Aside from his upcoming release with the No.19 imprint and gigs with Art Department, Cameo is an obvious presence behind the decks. At SRB Brooklyn he closed out the room with ease, as he performed the task of following up Visionquest’s Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves amazing set. Headlining the bill is NYC born and bred MANIK. Considered to be one of the most talented up and comers in the deep house spectrum, MANIK has been featured on notable labels such as Steve Bug’s Poker Flat, Lee Foss’ Hot Natured, and Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings. Aside from his growing discography, the Queens native also participates in a hectic touring schedule all over the world. Put together by respected outfit, AUTOBRENNT, this event is a must attend for those who scour the city looking for quality music. Unlike some of the highly promoted and most attended venues in the city, LeBain offers those who appreciate an intimate setting with the opportunity to relax and mingle the ideal environment to do so. Also one thing to keep in mind is that this is a free party, just get there early because once capacity is hit the doors will shut!
