Dustin Zahn + Saeed Younan + Stacey Pullen at Sands Atlantic Beach [NYC]: August 4, 2012

Set to take place at the beautiful Sands Atlantic Beach, this Saturday marks the start of a new event called ‘The Sands After Dark’. Put together by the NYC promotion company Biohazard Promotions, the outfit intends to throw events that feature underground artists in a screensaver like setting. Boasting a beautiful beach front property, this venue is guaranteed to play host to a number of memorable parties.

For the opening party, the lineup consists of 3 highly talented DJ/producers. First on the bill is Minnesota native and techno savant, Dustin Zahn. Featured on techno’s leading labels such as Chris Liebing’s CLR, and Adam Beyer’s Truesoul + Drumcode, Zahn is a monster behind the decks. Delivering a sound packed with kicks so powerful that they knock the wind out of people near the speaker, Dustin promises an amazing set.

Second on the bill is Saeed Younan. The Younan Music head is considered by many to have the magic touch when it comes to remixing and production. As Mark Knight would say, Saeed is ‘definitely the king of grooves’. Aside from his own imprint work, Younan has been featured on labels such as ViVa Music, Stealth Records and Spinnin. It is very clear that Saeed promises an incredible set.

The final act on the bill is Detroit legend, Stacey Pullen. In his early days, Pullen was under the tutelage of Detroit’s legendary 3; Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. Since then, Pullen has established himself as one of the best DJ/producers in the world. With a summer schedule that is filled with European appearances, it is a treat that Pullen graces The Sands with an after dark set.
